How It Works

When water enters the system, it undergoes a controlled oxidation process, where dissolved iron is converted into solid particles. These are then trapped by the filter media. Components like potassium permanganate are periodically used to regenerate the filter media and maintain its effectiveness.

  • Ferrous (dissolved) and Ferric (oxidized) Iron – up to 15 ppm

  • Manganese – up to 10 ppm

  • Hydrogen Sulfide – up to 5 ppm (removes rotten egg odor)
